The first days of freedom...

The countdown is over, the door to freedom has opened... after more than thirty-seven years of almost continuous employment, I am taking the first steps along a new road, which promises challenges, opportunities, adventure, and an escape from the routine and structures so deeply ingrained over the decades. This blog will attempt to chronicle some of these new experiences, and also to reflect on the many aspects of my past working life which made it so rich and rewarding, together with some of the inevitable frustrations.
